Brands with cases under 39 mm, A to Z ↓
The guide lists 531 independent brands with cases under 39 mm from 52 countries; the most common are United States (97), United Kingdom (57) and Switzerland (57). Of those with a known movement, 42% make only mechanical watches, 11% only quartz and 47% both.
The most used calibres are Miyota/Citizen (246 brands), Seiko/TMI (204 brands) and Sellita (190 brands). 32 brands use in-house calibres.
The average list price at origin is around $650; 339 of the 518 brands with published prices are under $1,000. Prices follow each brand’s website, converted at the exchange rate, and exclude taxes, shipping and import costs.
The oldest in the guide is Backes&Strauss, founded in 1789; 278 were founded in 2015 or later. The most common styles are dress, chronograph and GMT.
A small, independent watch brand, usually founded by enthusiasts, with limited production and direct sales. The guide spans microbrands to independent ateliers and shows each brand’s country, movement, calibre family, case size and price band.
Independent brands that sell wristwatches under their own name. Shops, resellers and defunct brands are excluded. If one is missing, use the suggest-a-brand button.
A few. The guide maps the market and is open to every brand. Coroa is starting to bring some of them to Brazil, with invoice and local warranty; when Coroa sells a brand, its page says so. “I want it in Brazil” helps choose the next ones. Registering interest is not an order or a reservation.
The guide shows the average list price on each brand’s website, converted at the Central Bank of Brazil PTAX rate. It excludes taxes, shipping and import costs, and it is not Coroa’s selling price.
Brands can correct their data with “Is this your brand?”, and collectors can comment on each listing. The database is reviewed twice a week.
Twice a week: each round checks websites, prices and movements, adds new brands and updates exchange rates.
